Established in 1993, Jenssel Park Shetland Stud is located in Junee, in the beautiful Riverina region of NSW. We are a small stud of around 15 ponies including youngstock, and usually breed 2-4 foals each year. We aim to breed beautiful show quality Shetlands with  bone and substance, kind temperaments for children and great movement for performance activities.  Our mares range in height from 8-10hh but we mostly produce ponies aimed at the 9.2hh & under classes.

In 2004 we added a new direction for our breeding program with the purchase of our stallion, Laurelwood Viking (right), in order to breed small Shetlands of miniature height that retain the good bone and movement of the larger ponies.

Sadly Viking passed away in 2007 but he will never be forgotten. The Shetland Ponies 8.2hh & Under Exhibitor High Point Score Trophy at the Vic APSB Stud Show is named in his honour.

We were fortunate in being able to secure the gorgeous imported bred stallion, Shady Glen Julian. Although Julian is now in his 20's. he is producing excellent foals and still enjoys the odd show outing for his veteran classes. Julian has a fantastic show record which culminated in being awarded the Supreme Championship at the 2002 International Shetland Show held at Sydney Royal.
