Caitin is a gorgeous Welsh Mountain mare. Not only is she typey, correct and pretty – she is also extremely quiet. She would be well suited for child handler classes. There is nothing that isn’t easy to do with Caitlin - rugging, washing, floating, showing, trimming feet, floating teeth etc.

Caitlin is very well bred being by Menai Silver Sands (imp) out of Woranora Charisma. Charisma is a multi NSW All Welsh Campion and is by Coed Coch Gwyndaff (imp), making Caitlin a ¾ sister to Woranora Mosaic. Caitlin has proven to be a trouble free broodmare. She always conceives on the first or second service (usually the first), making her an ideal AI candidate. She carries to term and foals very easily. Her foals are very marketable and have sold very quickly. Caitlin was not served this season as we only breed her every second year due to not wanting to send her away to stud with a foal at foot.

Caitlin has only been lightly shown. She was Champion Foal at the NSW All Welsh for Woranora Stud before being sold. I have taken her to several local shows and she always brings home a broad ribbon. Her pregnancies didn’t work in well with our show season so she hasn’t been over showed. The only major show I have taken her to was the Vic APSB Stud Show where she won her class and was reserve Welsh A mare. Her foal won the part bred foal class.

Caitlin is in excellent condition, sound and has never foundered. Any vet check welcome.

Chestnut Gelding, 9.0hh,  Born 1993  

Casey is a fantastic child's pony who is broken to saddle and harness. We have owned him since he was one month old and due to us having no small rider or driver for him, we have made the difficult decision to allow Casey to go on and teach a new family of children.

Casey is the perfect mount for the smallest of riders both on and off the lead. He has attended Pony Club, camps, shows, fancy dress (left and below) and gymkhanas with riders aged from 2-8yo. Casey can be safely left in the paddock for weeks at a time, washed and rugged and taken straight out to an event. He is good to catch, shoe, float and clip and is regularly used to teach the littlies how to pick up and clean out feet. Casey is not upset by being out in public with larger horses and is happy to walk with a small rider out in the arena while bigger horses are cantering past him.

As well as being a great saddle pony, Casey is also broken to harness. He regularly compete in Mini-Trotting events and has gained some great results in the local Cup races and the NSW Mini Trotting Championships. He has been driven by children from 4-16yrs and is very safe and reliable with a lovely soft mouth. He would be suitable for a beginner driver of any age and would equally suit an adult wanting to get into pleasure driving.

Although Casey is a purebred Shetland he is not registered with the APSB. He is in excellent condition, sound and has never foundered. Any vet check welcome. More photos and details available on the geldings page.
